1. Two parallel treadles, arranged one after the other at a variable distance (X), to verify the number of axles composing a set, an axle set can be single or multiple (double, triple or more axles). Besides, treadles can detect the vehicle direction, if a vehicle goes reverse the treadles can substract the axles.

Two parallel treadles, arranged one after the other at a distance (Y), so that a single tire axle steps on the sensors one by one, but a double tire axle steps both sensors simultaneously; these treadles are angled at aproximately 53° (Z), set from the long axis of the lane, this array allows to detect single or dual wheels.
